Samrakshak Samuha Nepal (SASANE) is a non-profit organization based in Kathmandu, Nepal. SASANE was established in 2008 by former female victims of human trafficking on the principle that survivors can create social change to eradicate human trafficking and reintegrate human trafficking survivors into society as respected members of the community and to increase women’s access to justice and achieve systemic change within the legal system. Its mission is to support and empower women survivors of human trafficking and gender-based violence as well as women and girls at risk of being trafficked or re -trafficked. SASANE believes that women survivors have immense potential to create social change and play a vital role in eradicating human trafficking in Nepal.
